Ghana and Athletico Madrid Star, Thomas Partey has asked government and stakeholders in football to expedite action to ensure the Zylofon cash Ghana Premier League starts.
The Government of Ghana as part of its measures to restructure Football in Ghana has placed a ban on all football activities in the country.
The country is now in talks with the FIFA for a blueprint for the restructuring of football in Ghana after Anas’ latest work exposed the rot at the Ghana Football Association and football in Ghana.
But speaking on Accra-based Zylofon FM and monitored by MyNewsGh.Com, Partey noted that the local league is a breeding grounds for footballer and a ban on the local league is destroying talents and inhibiting the growth of some young talents in the country.
He said in the interview monitored by MyNewsGh.Com that “We are all not happy about what is going on at this time, the Premier League is a breeding ground for talents, and it is out of this place that most footballers find their way to the bigger clubs outside”.
“I wish this is done very fast to allow the game to game, otherwise the fans of the game will lose interest and that will not help the game.”
